Anchor House Location
The Anchor House Dublin is perfectly situated in the city centre, 200 metres from The Central Bus Station (Busaras) & the red line luas stop (tram) at the rear of Gandon’s Custom House. We are only a few minutes walk to O’Connell Street.
Trinity College, The O2, the Grand Canal Theatre, Temple Bar, Grafton Street, Henry Street, are all easily reached on foot.
The Convention Centre is a short walk along the River Liffey Custom House Quays. The Grand Canal Theatre is also nearby & within easy walking distance. Shops are nearby and numerous on Henry Street, & Grafton Street. All are within easy walking distance.
The River Liffey & Quays are nearby to our House. The Liffey is now a lovely place to take a walk, which is not as it once was. Our dog loves the fresh air which is now clean & plentiful along the Liffey Quays which almost at times seem to be a world away from the busy city. The River Liffey is no longer busy with noises & filth of ships being loaded & unloaded all around us here. Serenity is here now, & it is so nice to observe what now is, amongs the remains of what once was here. The shipping port of Dublin is now much further downstream of the Liffey, almost at the sea.
