Here's 5 free things to do in Dublin over the coming weeks
1. Go to Tradfest in Temple Bar-As well gigs by traditional musicians, there’s something for everyone. Kids can go to the petting zoo or play music at The Ark, there are family concerts on in Dublin City Hall in conjunction with the Chinese New Year Festival, and adults can go on the Tradfest music trail.
2 Celebrate the Chinese New Year - There are exhibitions at the Gallery of Photography, Kildare Village and Arnotts on today. There is a free film showing of Up The Yangtze at the Hugh Lane Gallery and a retrospective at the Chester Beatty library.
3. Listen to traditional music at the Banjo and Bovril Festival - Not technically in Dublin, but not far off. There will be live music sessions and lessons going on in the Harbour Bar.
4. Go on a guided tour of the Dublin Mountains - The group leaves from Bohernabreena everyday at 10am to walk alongside the Dodder and the reservoir. If you can’t do the mountains, why not try some other great walks around Dublin listed here on our website.
5. Check out the market at the Grand Social - There’s a craft and vintage market taking place every Saturday 12-6. You can check out vintage clothes, vinyl records, retro furniture, contemporary crafts, bric-a-brac, jewellery, books and lots more.
